Lucius had been surprised by Draco's request to talk. Things between them were still cool, even with weekly Sunday lunches during which Scorpius did the majority of the talking. He seemed to have never-ending stories about the Malfoy family, though Lucius did appreciate hearing them. It gave him some hope that all was not lost between him and his son. The fact that Draco had reached out gave him a bit more.
He'd wrapped up his work early, and headed back to his room to be sure to be there when Draco arrived. As scheduled, there was a knock at the door. He went to open it.
"Draco." He gave his son a once-over, then stepped back to let him in. "I had the house-elves bring tea."
