"And what a dusty drab pair of shoes those would be," he said with a small chuckle, brushing the idea away. He couldn't picture, imagine or fathom it. He did know one thing for certain, that anything could happen. Perhaps it was best not to tempt fate.
"You don't know how true that is," he said with a smile. How very true indeed, he mused silently.
He couldn't help but laugh a little. Boring to some, filled with vast possibilities to others he thought. "Misery loves company. Wanting something doesn't mean it's in the cards," he said reaching for the smoke he had tucked behind his ear. He rolled it between his fingers, stopping to hold it between his thumb and pointer finger.
"I'll be around," he said with a small smile, "And if the face of the year is going to walk off, they should do so like the mean it, no?" he said with a grin, before heading off toward the stairs.
