Theodore nodded in understanding. There didn't seem anything else he could say, with his own experience being so limited. His own mother passed away when he was four. His memories from that early age being rather limited and he didn't care to think about it much. He just knew he felt very alone once she passed. He shrugged at the mention of the Minister. Theodore didn't know what he should say about Potter and what he shouldn't given current situations, but he thought Longbottom might of had the worst of it, in the dead parent department. Watching his parents fade away slowly over time, barmy in Mungo's. Dead but not really gone. Also martyred like the Potters but not venerated. No statues for the Longbottoms, he thought. "It wouldn't be fair of me to say, given I don't know much more than what people commonly know." He said diplomatically. "None the less difficult. I do realize."
It did paint a comical picture still to him, somewhat cartoonish and still laughable. "Not unfounded, but ridiculous. That is the fun of gossip," he said in good humor. Although the idea that anyone would think he had people hidden away in his home, he found particularly funny. He didn't let many people inside, period. He imagined the same of his room here. He coveted his privacy.
"That would be for the best." he said in agreement. It was all speculation in any case and no real way to tell. True or not true. Who could say? Although he tended to side with the idea it was more false than true.
Theo cast his glace around the hallway and placed his hands in his pockets. "Limited in this place? Just trying to wrap your mind around what is going on here daily is a rather broad topic," he tried to explain more practically. "I don't suspect I would, but I'm rather flexible." he said with a small amused smile.
"We can overlook that. Give anything a fun label and rebrand it shabby couture," he said with a laugh. "To each their own as they say."
