Theo nodded in understanding, he could relate at least a little. "My mother died when I was young as well," he said simply. Much younger in his case than in Scorpius's case, but he did know how that felt. But he quickly brushed that thought aside. There were less gloomy things to consider and the rumor mill didn't fail to amuse. He couldn't help but laugh. "That is a little all over the place isn't it?" He said somewhat delighted by the results.
Scorpius was right of course. Knowing fact from fiction was questioning enough. "The next Dark wizard?" he said questioningly. He couldn't help but be amused. "I've never had very lofty goals, but I suppose that one if it had been true would have made my father very happy," he said with a small shrug. And he did fancy the darker arts, that was true. "But unlikely. A harem sounds like more work than need be, when you can just venture out to a club. Less tedious, less commitment. Wider range of people to chose from, more random chance."
He didn't know what to say when it came to Pansy, except he couldn't help but smile. "I can't say for sure what might be happening in your time, I can say based on some spontaneous moments passed, that isn't impossible." The idea she was married though was funny to him at least. Pansy had a tendency toward being incredibly high maintenance. "She can be very loud," he added with a small laugh, "and apt at getting revenge. So I would appreciate your not telling her someday that I said so."
He missed his office, he missed the sights and sounds of it. The smell of his smoke left lingering in the air. His papers, his equipment and his research. He longed for it more than he did most anything else. "I'd be there in a heartbeat," he admitted. "You don't need much to study, you need will, desire and abstract thought. Which I have."
Theo smiled at Scorpius's walk and laughed a little at what he had to say. Potter wouldn't find the fashion of it important at all. "People do need to clothe themselves, it is a necessity. And with less flourish and the right angle, I'm sure you could find a way. It's all how you sell it, isn't it?" He said, and in truth was a little curious too. "If we ever get more freedom," he said wistfully, "we'll find out eventually I'm sure."
