"It's good we're having one though. I didn't really know her, but Cassandra seemed like a decent person. And I'm sure there are a lot of people here who could use the closure."
Draco had seen just how competent Longbottom could be, that last year at school. Not that he'd he'd actually been at school all that much. He hadn't been there when Longbottom had gone into hiding, but he'd heard all about it. It was a far cry from the boy who melted cauldrons.
"I believe it, about Longbottom. He was running his own Guerilla war in the middle of the greater one."
Draco could wholeheartedly agree that people were exhausting. Though he didn't have nearly the demands on him that Harry did.
"I'm sorry the lunches are difficult." Draco was half surprised they were still happening, after Harry had told him about the first few. "Maybe, as you all get to know each other better you'll find your equilibrium." Not everything could be as easy as him as Scorpius, after all. "I, uh, I talked to my father today. About everything. It... Wasn't a disaster." There was a lot to still unpack, but Draco wasn't sure he was ready to delve that deeply into it yet.
