"I love relationships where the hallmark of devotion is calling the other insufferable prats," she said, but her tone and grin were teasing as she could tell that Lily really did love James and vice versa. She'd seen a few truly happy relationships among her friends' parents, and James and Lily definitely ranked up there as far as she could tell in her limited exposure to them. "I don't know if anyone has ever accused me of being a pragmatist, but I like it so thank you."
Lilu nodded vigorously. "That is an excellent idea. We can figure out what sorts of fish he likes best, take swims with him, weave him a crown of seaweed. He'll love us in no time." She wasn't sure if tehre was actual seaweed in the lake, but there were definitely weeds of some kind that could make a crown. "And yes, he definitely is. He knows all the good dirt. Savannah Monroe can probably fill you in. She's the gorgeous Hufflepuff who's a demon on a broom. She's also very friendly, and I'm sure she can hook you up with the good goss too." She didn't have to have been here long to know that was true.
"Oh, there's plenty of conjecture about them, and you, but most of it is bullshit just like it is about Harry." She knew she kept going back and forth between 'her father' and 'Harry', but she hadn't settled on what to call him yet, and thought that might take a while. "Oh, you can count on me! I have a lot of experience in wrangling dumb boys. Two brothers, remember?"
