"As a word of caution, if the opportunity presents itself again, never try Hagrid's moonshine," she intoned seriously. "Much like with his rock cakes, you'll just end up with a thundering headache, a sore jaw, and only the vaguest of ideas on how you got back to your dorm." And that was all Lily would say about that for the time being. "Your uncle Charlie sounds like a smart man." She had to laugh at that. "Hagrid, keeping a secret? The audacity!"
Lily couldn't remember the last time such an inane conversation gave her so much joy. "For all we know, the giant squid could speak its' own special language, which it used to help guide the founders." Now Lily was just tossing of ideas based on whatever came to mind.
"Both your grandfather and I got quite the kick out of realizing we had been flirting with one another despite not knowing who we were. Have you told Sirius that you learned about him through your history books? I'm sure he was tickled pink." It was becoming obvious to her that her granddaughter took after her grandfather quite a bit, which made sense in light of Sirius telling Lily that Lilu was practically a Marauder already. "I often had a hard time figuring out where I fit when I was younger, but everything seemed to work out for me. I'm sure it will for you as well."
