"Of course he hadn't, he always took his job and being the caretaker very seriously," Lily replied, reaching out to lightly rub the younger womans' shoulder at the emotion ringing clear in her tone. "Hogwarts doesn't seem right in general, but maybe that's just me projecting since it's been an age since I was last here." She was still trying to get used to the idea that the castle itself was the entity bring people here, although Hogwarts always did seem to have a life all its' own. "I'm sure however he got Tiny, the creature was just as in love with him as he was with it."
It was nice to hear her giggle. "Perhaps the giant squid is why the Founders picked this location." She doubted that was the case, but it was nice to hypothesize about such things, especially considering what was known of the school founders.
"Wild is certainly one way of putting it. It definitely made things a little harder to get used to. And I felt incredibly out of sorts since I had no idea who I became." She hadn't realized that she arrived around the same time as Lilu, but it made sense in a strange way. The school had a knack for choosing its' spot to make things happen however it felt it would work best. "I haven't even thought about a job, yet." She had no idea that she had needed one. "It helps that I've had things to focus on, like getting to know you and your brothers."
