"They're complicated, and no. Not particularly. Sorry." He returned the grin because he wasn't particularly sorry about not wanting to spill his feelings to Peter and it seemed like Peter understood that. "Yeah. That's it exactly." Peter had put it better than Ron could have, but that really was an accurate read on the situation. "I think we will forget eventually, or at least kind of. There's no room for two sets of memories in one person's brain, and sooner or later the other person's memories will fade. Right now it's still fresh."
Ron knew there was a lot more he should, or could, say, but he'd never been good at that. It was why he loved Harry and Hermione so much. They could have this sort of conversation without saying much of anything at all. It was perfect.
"You going to be okay? We can, uh, still do the greenhouse if you want to. I know we don't need it anymore, but that might change in the future."
