"I'm sure you do, darling, but only people you deem worthy should get that privilege." She smiled at how infectious his joy was. "I'll need to get some makeup first. I don't have anything with me." Sirius bringing up their favorite bonding activity was exactly what she needed to take her mind off the strangeness of this whole situation. She could very clearly remember when he first took her clubbing, and how nervous he was. Whatever type of judgment he had expected from her hadn't been forthcoming, instead seeing him all dolled up prompted her to compare Sirius to David Bowie during his 'Space Oddity' period. Her only quibble was that he had messed up his eyeliner, but she was able to fix it for him. She never told anyone, not even James, about the side of herself Sirius revealed to her, keeping his secret.
Her eyes closed as she pushed the lingering memories away.
"James and I, we missed out on so much," she murmured. There was no way she would ever reconcile that in her head.
The snort brought her back to reality. If there was one thing Lily Potter knew, it was that his answer was sure to be a treat.
"Oh, I wouldn't tempt fate. I'm sure there's ways of going about it. Promise me though, if you ever feel like you need any advice or help, you'll come to me?"
