Lily had gotten good at reading him, despite how long it'd been since they last hung out.
"What makes you think I would consider you joining the lunches 'crashing'? Don't be silly, your presence is almost always welcomed."
She could think of a few times it wasn't, but that was in the past.
"I haven't really had time to think about it. Not yet, at least." She was still reeling from playing catch up with her husband and son. "I'm not sure what to make of it all, personally. I'm glad there are people I feel safe with here, but at the same time I'm having a bit of a time getting used to my baby being taller than me."
