Regulus seemed to be actually curious, so Al quashed his natural inclination to flip him off and walk away.
"It's, it's psychological. Which is why, why Kirley did it, when, when he was me." He spoke just slowly enough that his thoughts didn't run away with him. "I, I don't know why, why I do it. If I did, if I did I'd stop. It's, it's tied to, to emotions though. The more I, feel, the worse, the worse I sound." Which was a fantastic way to get people to take him seriously. "Anxiety, mostly." He shrugged. He didn't exactly like his stutter, but he'd taken ownership of it a long time ago. Just another way Albus Severus Potter was fucked up. "Or, or my brain goes faster than my, than my mouth sometimes. It stops, when I'm comfortable."
He didn't really know anything about Regulus, but he couldn't really find any malice in him.
"You, uh, you put a lot of stock, into, into how the houses are, are supposed to be, huh? Not that, not that you're alone in that."
