"I know, I know I need too talk to him." He smiled at Scorpius, then reached out and squeezed his hand. "You're trying to make me a better person than I actually am." He was joking, but not totally. He wanted to be the person Scorpius had grown up with. This amazing dad who had raised a genuinely good person, without the Malfoy hangups.
"You know, you're giving me a lot of credit for something I haven't done yet." He chuckled. "Besides, I'm not exactly seeing Harry and I popping out baby Malfoy/Potters anytime soon." Which maybe revealed too much of what he felt for Harry, but screw it, Scorpius had been him, he already knew.
"Family sticks together." He agreed. "And you're right, I don't want him to think I agree with anything he did, or does. But, if he's willing to change, I'll try to keep the door open."
