"He's getting prepared for another war. Anything that doesn't follow under that purview isn't important enough. I don't think he's being mean about it, but he can't see that there are other problems in the world that aren't Dark magic." He shrugged. "Nothing to forgive. It's research and if looking into the castle's magic leads us there we can't possibly stop."
He snorted. "Remus, when exactly has the international community cared about an internal problem? I was more curious why they didn't send someone to take over afterwards, but they destroyed the Ministry, St. Mungo's, no one gets into Gringott's, everything of value was hidden, wizarding properties were turned into Muggle ones. The only things left would be a few of the manors and those have enough spells to kill people. There was nothing for them to take. So I'd be more surprised if they came here."
Peter dropped the subject of the arrivals not because he didn't care, but because they'd have to work things out properly and not by gut feeling, no matter how much he believed that they were right. "Right, but he did find the time to think that. I mean it makes sense. He found out that he didn't trust you when he shouldn't have trust me so he did something wrong and you could be upset, therefore he needs to keep you closer, and ergo he's in love," he said with a shrug, because it made no sense except in Sirius' world. "All right since we've gone over everything do you want to go and work on your inventory? It'll be the perfect way to deal with boredom."
