"I thought about going back, but unless I want to die, it means changing the past and if that happens, do we even know that the Dark Lord dies? So much would be up in the air, things could change, Potter might not become important. The Dark Lord might survive. I don't know if I want that either." He snorted. "Hardly. Sirius wants to go back and fix everything."
He smiled. "He wouldn't have known. I bet that he hated not knowing what was happening. He wouldn't have said that he didn't do it, because he'd have to admit that someone else had and he had no clue what, when and where."
Regulus thought about it. "We never checked the book. The quill might have been recording the names all along. Hogwarts seemed to have acted like everything was normal and there might actually be names going back eighteen years ago. You might not want to teach but do we want untrained wizards and witches running around. We know the damage they can do, and it's not like there are hundreds of Muggleborns maybe two, three per year."
