"I'm not sure I want to know why a father would do something like that." Remus knew not all parents were as good as his had been. But a parent getting their kid high just seemed weird. "But if it makes you feel better, while we may all be from well into your past, most of us were brought here from when we're in our twenties. Except for Narcissa Malfoy. I forget how many years were between us in school, but she's probably around forty."
It was actually refreshing that she didn't seem to recognize any of their names. Remus had been afraid, after some of the things he'd learned about the future, that everyone who came through would know who --and what -- he was from the start, which could make things very awkward. Still, there were some names he felt she ought to know. But that was secondary to the new information she was able to provide.
"I think there's only one Hufflepuff so far. That would be Tonks. The Malfoys are both Slytherin, as is Regular Black. The rest of us are all Gryffindors, for which I feel like we should apologize, even if one of us is Harry Potter and none of us chose to be here," he said with a laugh. "But tell me more about this proposal. Cloning is something even the muggles of my time haven't figured out yet. It's just an idea in fiction. Given all that you just listed off, I might have to agree with the purebloods this time around ...if they hadn't already killed us off."
