"What do you mean who's my family?" Savannah asked, very confused. The possibility that there was anyone didn't know who she and her family were had never occurred to her. In fact, she wasn't sure that it was possible. One of their faces was always on the cover of a magazine. Granted, it was mostly her father, but it was impossible not to exist in their world without seeing pictures of them.
She suddenly stopped. "You don't know who we are. That's... actually it does matter, because unless you were raised in the woods and never been in a shop that has magazines, that's just not possible."
She started to walk again. "Right, we can check the stadium, but do you think it has happened? You said everything ended years ago, so what year do you think it is? When did this extinction happen? Why?"
