Re: James | Remus
James half considered getting up and having a little dance around the room, but he was a terrible dancer and he wasn't sure Remus would appreciate it. Where was Sirius when you needed him? Instead he made do with one final massive bounce and an excited little head shuffle.
"Ah, we're quicker than you give us credit for," he grinned back, accepting the nudge without retaliation.
It was more than he'd hoped for, really. More than he'd let himself hope for. Okay, so it wasnt a cure... Remus still had to go through that bone-cracking transformation every month, but he was still him. He didn't have to worry about hurting anyone any more. James knew how much that meant.
"It's mental," he breathed. "Excellent-mental, obviously. But mental." James grinned again, flopping onto his back on the rumpled bedspread. "I knew it had worked! I could tell straight away. It was all different, Moony. You were so... sensible." He grinned cheekily across at his friend.
"Merlin, does this mean I have to be nice to Snivellus?"
