Re: Regulus/Jamie
"Hey, now!" Jamie gasped, affronted but trying not to laugh. "She did not kick my arse on a regular basis. Hufflepuff became tough competition when she joined the team. But, that's what makes the game fun. Season would have been boring if no one was good enough to be a challenge." He shrugged, but looked curiously at Regulus. "Maybe because I am an adult? Or, as much of one as anyone can be at twenty-four? Besides, it was seven years ago when we were still in school. We're both adults now and working separate jobs. What's the point of holding a grudge over games that didn't mean anything in the long run?" Although, considering Savannah's comments about Sirius, maybe Regulus had a reason to be surprised? Jamie needed to actually talk to the second person whose namesake he was to know for sure.
Cocking his head, he thought about it for a moment. "Harry takes certain traits associated with Gryffindor to extremes, I'll grant you. But, that's mostly him, not the house." Jamie huffed softly. "No one else is like him, for good or bad. The rest of us poor sods are just lightweight Gryffindors," he added with a chuckle. "I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that your experience with Gryffindors, meaning my grandfather and his friends, was possibly very different than what you would have seen when I was in school."
