"We're getting married," Ron said, his grin stretching across his face. "Mental." It wasn't that he'd never thought about marrying her before, he'd proposed when they were eighteen after all, but now that it was happening he couldn't quite believe. "You're going to be my wife. I'm going to be your husband. That's like. Proper adult stuff."
They were building a country, had defeated Dark Wizards since they were eleven, but getting married seemed so much more adult than any of those things. He wondered if everyone felt this way, and wished he could ask Bill or his dad if they'd gone through this thought process.
"How about we leave the renewal of vows as an abstract. I...can't think of the what-ifs or whens, you know? Because it might be never, and I only want to be happy about this."
