Remus was probably right, but Sirius hadn't stopped in eighteen years, and Regulus wasn't sure that after all this time, he could keep his cool. If there was one person who got under his skin, it was his brother. "No, I think I'll go for the hexing. Everything else hasn't worked. I'll just keep it legal and non-lethal. Until he hexes back."
He nodded. "Yes, you do, although payback is not as pleasant when we are the only people here." He also didn't care enough since most of the pranks hadn't been directed at him. He'd like to think that Sirius was the reason for that. "Here's the problem with that, and yes I've been thinking about it. Currently, I'm the person who's coming from the farthest back. The moment I go back and change things, good or bad, you lose your knowledge. Sirius is possibly close enough that most things will stay the same. By the time we get to Ron and Potter, nothing will be the same, not if we want to fix the war. And maybe that saves a lot of people, but it might also end so many others. There's just no way to predict what will happen."
He had no idea what Muggles could do or not. "I think the school and its grounds are protected, but Hogsmeade never was, not really. Could they find the town? Would they look for it when they see train tracks leading to town? What about relatives of Muggleborns and half-bloods who know that now there is free housing? Maybe you're right, but do we really take the chance of you killing or infecting anemone else? I'd rather err on the side of caution when we have the space here. If we didn't have another alternative, then I'd agree with you." He smirked. "So many Gryffindors, it might be hard to do, but the Slytherins will be just fine staying indoors."
The forest was something else entirely. "We should, and if you truly were a werewolf with a human mind, in the company of a wizard, it would be the perfect opportunity, but since you won't be, it'll need to wait until we are a little better organized."
