Ron was heading for breakfast when Nick found him.
"Harry and Draco Malfoy have arrived. Just in time for the party, isn't that nice?" he said, then floated away as if he hadn't just dropped an erumpent horn of information on Ron.
"Bloody ghosts," Ron muttered. Nick hadn't even told him where Harry and Malfoy were, and Hogwarts was a bloody big place. He took a breath and thought like Harry. Where would Harry go if he'd arrived in an empty Hogwarts. He'd look for answers. Outloud, because it was still creepy to be in an almost silent Hogwarts, so talking to himself had become a habit, he said, "The Headmistress' office."
He took the stairs two at a time, heading to the second floor and the Headmistress's office. It looked like luck was on his side, as he spotted two figures in the hall that led to her office. "Harry!" He sprinted down the hall and came to a skidding stop just before his friend. "You're here! What day is it for you? And did you and Malfoy arrive together?" He looked at Malfoy. "Hey, Malfoy. Your mother will be pleased to see you." There was so much to talk about, but the basics had to be taken care of first.
