"Of course it was Dumbledore," Draco grumbled. It was always Dumbledore.
"You don't think knowing what changed might be useful?" Still, he pulled out his wand. "Hogwarts doesn't change the grounds. Not the way it changes the castle. At least not in any of the histories I've read."
The castle came into view, and the changes became more obvious. The castle looked rundown. Abandoned. No students, no teachers. No one. If it weren't for a few sets of footprints in the snow he'd think no one had been here in years. But still, it wasn't enough sets of footprints. Maybe four or five people, at most.
"I hope you've learned more spells that Expelliarmus," he muttered, keeping half an eye behind them as he followed Potter toward the steps.
