James nodded thoughtfully. "I would say it gets better, but..." he trailed off with a hopeless shrug. James still hadn't quite got a handle on this place yet, and every time he did it seemed to throw another curveball in his direction. Two-faced former friends, old grandkids... Merlin knew what would happen tomorrow.
That said, there was something about Jamie that he liked. Perhaps it was the vague air of confidence, or the way he carried himself... there was certainly something that James could relate to in this latest family member.
"So am I allowed to give you a proper interrogation yet, or would that be too harsh?" James offset his words with a jovial smile, reaching up to push his hair back, leaving it stood on end. "Y'know, just the basics.. what year are you from, what do you do, how are you on a broom... that kind of thing?"
