Re: Savannah/Jamie
"Me and a bunch of guys like your father. It was not a good feeling. I was so happy when I saw Cassandra walking on the grounds. At least there was a woman, even if she was born in the 19th Century." She tried to make a mental list. "I'm pretty sure that you'd know of everyone. Let's go in chronological order. Dumbledore, Cassandra Trelawnay, and Fenrir Greyback. No one is mentioning what he did, so watch out there. Then we jump in time and there are Sirius, Peter, Remus and your grandfather, Snape, Lucius Malfoy, Regulus Black and Glenda Chittock. Another jump and we have my dad, your dad, Mr. Weasley, Ms. Granger, Cho Chang, she just arrived so I don't know much about her, other than she's a therapist in the Muggle world, you can imagine how well that went, Draco Malfoy and Theo Nott. And then we get to the modern age with me, Roxanne, Scorpius, Teddy and now you and your brother. That makes twenty-four if I've counted right."
She nodded. "I would say more than you, but then the entire population at the time was twenty-two, so the comparison really doesn't work. Do you know what else he seems to be doing that he didn't do when I got here? Smile and laugh. But, I wanted you to be prepared in case- Well, in case you see them, but also he's different from even a month ago." Harry Potter wasn't like Kirley Duke who fucked everything in sight. She wouldn't have blinked if their positions had been reversed.
Savannah chuckled. "Don't worry, you wouldn't be the only one playing the waiting game and you actually have an excuse since you just arrived here."
They might be joking, but she took the time to answer that in a much more serious way. "You don't have to live up to the name, because you've done a lot more than they could imagine already. If anything, they'd have to live up to your example. There is one thing you and Sirius have in common, though/ Fear of emotional attachment, although his fear comes with a great sense of insecurity. He's like a kicked puppy."
