Teddy sighed heavily. Their paranoia was completely understandable, drilled into them from a young age by their equally, if not more, paranoid father. So very slowly, Teddy held his hands out at his sides so they could see them if he moved to try and cast even the slightest bit of wandless magic.
"Whatever I say here is going to get me hexed because it's completely mad but just bear with me for a moment," he offered. If he'd had any Veritaserum, he would've offered that as well. "You two are older so you probably know more about the fertility problems, how the Ministry is trying to mix science and magic," he thought to make it a question but decided not to, "It backfires. Terribly. Every witch and wizard in the UK dies. It's now 2038 and the castle has been dragging people through time and space to fill itself up again. I'm from 2022. Your dad is from before you two were born. Good luck dealing with him."
His gaze turned on Jamie for a moment, his voice barely above a whisper, "Jamie... I met Remus. My dad. You know I wouldn't joke about that. Remus is dead. But he's not. He's here." There was a squeak in his voice, a moment of tears that just barely escaped before he managed to stop it and pack it all away. He could not lose himself. Not right now. "If I had Veritaserum on me right now, I would drink it and tell you the same story. I swear. Hell, if one of you happens to have it on you, I'll let you pour it in my mouth."
