Re: Fenrir & Kirley
"Taking after one's parents is overrated," Kirley said, thinking he had more in common with Fenrir than he'd have thought. "I was just about the only non-academic in Ravenclaw in a lot of ways. I don't mind putting in the research to learn new things, but only on subjects that matter. Namely, music."
Kirley leaned back, closed his eyes as the album changed to something he wasn't familiar with. This was one of the newer albums that the castle had shown him. Some Muggle singer named Billie Eyelash or something. He'd have to ask Savannah if she was familiar. It pleased him to know that Muggles were still putting out vinyl, even decades into the 21st century.
"The sixties were a golden age of music. You had the Beatles, Elvis, Van Morrison, Marvin Gaye, and that was just in the Muggle world. The magical world had the Hobgoblins. They were just forming up towards the end of the decade, and of course the timeless Celestina." Kirley knew he could talk music until it exhausted anyone else, but he couldn't help himself. "There is always someone, somewhere, complaining about 'today's music'. They can kindly fuck off as far as I'm concerned."
Kirley let out a whistle at the admission of five years. "Well, you've got a second chance here love. Don't let the doom and gloom patrol get to you; we deserve time for this too. Sure, there's a world to rebuild, but what's the point if there isn't time to listen to music, drink a few beers, and enjoy each other's company." No point at all, if you asked Kirley. "Oh, this is nothing. Give me some time, and I'll show you a real party." Though Fenrir was a werewolf, and might not like the type of hedonistic orgies Kirley was really known for.
