He ducked his head slightly, not sure he wanted praise for that. It was still a very complicated moment, and in the end they'd figured it out anyway.
"I just didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. Especially you."
Draco gave Harry a mock horrified expression.
"You bite your tongue! A Gryffindor, don't you paint me with that brush Potter." He gave a very good impression of his first year haughty sneer, then laughed.
"I don't understand wand lore. I've read some, but I don't think even the great wandmakers understand it all. It contradicts itself left and right, like they're all hiding just enough of the truth so that no one can figure out exactly how it all works. Trade secrets should be outlawed."
