She got to have me as a dad, and I get to skip the sticky fingers." To some people that might have sounded callous, but Kirley was under no illusions that he'd been a good father to a small child.
There was something in Fenrir's tone when he spoke of his father that was familiar to Kirley. "Nothing wrong with jazz or classical. Most of the classical composers were the rockstars of their time. Rebels, social outcasts, that sort of thing." He thought anyone who hated a particular kind of music was very short-sighted. There was something of value to be found in everything. "Oh, I bet you're good with your hips. Elvis would be proud." Fenrir's parents would have gotten along fine with Kirley's father, but his mother would have laughed at them.
"You should, and that's a loaded question. There's so much, but I'd start you with Bowie or Queen, I think if you liked Elvis. Their musical styles are not remotely the same, but fuck if they don't know how to move their hips."
