Re: James & Teddy
"Well, there is that," James agreed. It was a relief, in a way, to hear Teddy talk about Remus that way. James knew how awkward these things could be. Not that he really would have imagined it going any differently - in many ways, Remus as the best of them. "Remus is a sweetheart, though. You've got nothing to worry about."
James nodded thoughtfully. There was always that risk with the pureblood families. He was pretty sure he and Sirius were cousins with a few degrees of separation, but as he'd told his Dad on many occasions - after a certain number of generations, did it really matter? "It takes a bit of getting used to. I never really know who this is weirder for."
But the last comment made him laugh out loud. Oh good, they'd get on just fine. "Believe me, I'm right there with you. I dunno what kind of selection criteria this place has but..." he shook his head, smiling and taking a drink.
"Just don't let Sirius hear you say that," he warned. "He'll be skipping off to the greenhouses before you can say restraining order."
