Re: Cassandra & Sirius
"Oh, god, a Black?" She couldn't help herself. The words tumbled out before she could stop them. But this was 'Sirius' so likely one of the more recent generations and not the contemporaries she knew. So quickly, she tacked on, "My apologies. Phineas Nigellus leaves a poor impression." She knew she had to be specific - there were just so many of them, it seemed.
"I'm..." She exhaled softly, frowning a little, "Studying modern social cues." Which was probably the most Ravenclaw thing she could have ever actually said in her whole life. In fact, the things currently written down were like: dating is courting with no rules, women in trousers are acceptable (also comfortable), no dance cards??, no regulation whatsoever or sex-specific interactions? - it was likely rather ridiculous to a more modern eye.
It took a fair bit to make her feel embarrassed but here she was, ducking her head and trying to focus more on the pages instead of the man speaking to her.
