"What part do you want me to elaborate?" Scorpius asked with a little smile because this Mr. Potter didn't sound at all like the rest of the family. Forty years must have changed people more than they thought. "You know," he said with a much calmer tone. "We've tried to move past families and houses separations. It's hard to hear those separations again."
Scorpius was still a slytherin and he could use those house divisions to his advantage. "I mean, I'm sure they will appreciate having your support, because I doubt they will get it from Grandfather." There now James could act like grandfather or accept them.
He shook his head. "Not write, it was mostly talk at school. The papers made comments about my looks, with snide references to my grandfather, but that went away with jobs. I didn't have it as bad as Al and his siblings. They were always on the papers because of Mr. Potter. Jamie more than everyone being the firstborn."
