"Tell me about it," James muttered to no'one in particular. Someone had a big chip on their shoulder. He supposed it was inevitable, all things considered. Still, he had met worse, and right now it was easier to let things go, even if it wasn't his natural state. Although Sirius' blonde cousin? Really? She'd always come across rather prissy to James.
"Yeah, I guess." It was still disconcerting, like a quaffle coming at you from behind. James wasn't a huge fan of secrets, even accidental ones. And it wasn't that his son was dating a man - he'd been on the Sirius Black damage control team long enough for that not to be an issue. But the secrecy and the fact that it was Lucius Malfoys son... still, knowing this place, it could have been Snivellus. You had to count your blessings.
"That's good to know," he told him, one dark eyebrow raising. It was a pretty low bar, after all. James shrugged. "So did they write about you lot a lot, then?"
The idea of fame, especially considering his family and their friends, was strange to him. James had been known by a lot of people, just because he and Lily knew a lot of people, but it was hardly the same thing.
