By contrast, Remus was using his denim jacket as a pillow while he lay out by the fire reading through his notes from the last few days...more thoughts on how to recreate a better Map, things he and Regulus had found while going through more of the things they'd had brought to the castle, little things he wanted to remember. With the fire, it was warm enough he was comfortable in just the T-shirt he usually wore underneath and being the Tower, he wasn't worried about anyone coming in and seeing his scars.
Until Sirius brought someone in, of course.
Remus caught the new scent as soon as the Fat Lady's portrait swung open and sat up quickly to pull his jacket on. But, there was a confused frown on his face. There was...something familiar...and, yet, not...about that scent. Like something out of a memory that had never happened.
"The last time you said that, Pads, was when you dragged that poor Hufflepuff girl in here seventh year thinking I needed a date for Hogsmeade that last weekend." Standing up so he could see the new arrivals over the back of the sofa, Remus got his first look at Sirius' companion and the furrow between his eyes deepened along with the odd sense of familiarity that wasn't familiar. "Helô. Sorry, but have we met?"
