"Yes. She is. She lied to the Dark Lord you know. Right to his face, about Harry being alive. Ballsy of her," Ron said, with true admiration. He wasn't sure he liked the woman, but she'd saved Harry's life so he was more than willing to cut her a little slack. "And those are very good questions.Hopefully, there will be some kind of information in Diagon Alley when we get there. I suppose eventually we might want to go into the Muggle world as well. Their newspapers would be full of headlines if dragons were suddenly seen all over the country." Ron sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I wonder if things changed at all up until everything went to shit here."
Ron laughed. "No, we need Hermione for that. The Ravenclaws I know would make the lists, but they'd be more excited to just start experimenting by throwing magic at things just to see what happens." Ravenclaws were crazy, in a good way. "It's as good a time as any. Dumbledore was...complicated." It seemed the best word to describe him. "Well, he also liked to use Gryffindors as sacrifices. He mostly ignored Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff though. Maybe they were the lucky ones." A lot might have been different if Dumbledore had just been honest with people.
"You know, a few years ago I'd have resented that, but knowing what you did, and knowing Sirius, I'm okay with being a little bit Black," Ron said with a grin. "Well, you should know that your brother spent thirteen years in Azkaban for crimes he didn't commit. Pettigrew was the spy, not him. I should probably tell Remus that." There was just so much, and they hadn't been here all that long. "Sirius escaped in 1993 when he realized Pettigrew wasn't dead and had been living as my family's pet rat for all those years." He paused to let that set in. "What else? Bellatrix killed Sirius in 1995. Remus and Tonks got married, had a baby, and then both died in '98." He took a breath. "There's more, but that's the highlights of who's here. The rest can probably wait."
Ron let out another laugh. "Well, I'm glad I'm not just being paranoid about that," he said, though to have Regulus confirm his suspicions wasn't much of a surprise. "No, I don't expect she would."
