Albus Dumbledore ([info]oddmenttweak) wrote in [info]hogwarts_dawn,
Albus had spent the morning in the library, as per usual. He'd almost finished his collection - there was just the last of the herbology section to cover. And the restricted section of course, but he knew there wouldn't be anything there he would want to teach anyone. No, any foray into that part of the library would just be to quench his own curiosity and, as such, it was probably left well alone.

As full as his mind was of class notes and syllabus framework, it had been a surprise to see a familiar name being introduced in the journals. He and Cassandra Trelawney had been at school together, although she was a few years younger. Albus had never quite believed their teachers stories about her 'fits' and it hadn't taken him too long to realise the truth. They had become friends, of sorts - two rather odd, if brilliant, students amongst their peers. Since graduating, and everything which had come with it, they had kept in touch through letters, although hadn't met in person for a while now.

So Albus was looking forward to meeting her as he scaled the ladder and arrived in the tower, not particularly gracefully it had to be said. Such things were easier said than done when you were mostly limbs. He had barely straightened up when a small blonde figure had rushed forwards to embrace him. Neither of the pair had ever had much time for the rules of society. Albus chuckled. "The latter, as always."

He released her, offering Cassie a very rare, wide smile. He had not realised what a relief it would be to see someone from his own time, his own home. Albus was a private, secretive individual but even he had been feeling the solitude.

"How are you?" He asked, looking around. The room was dusty, but had pockets of activity which he eyed curiously.
