Severus had only ever known Albus Dumbledore as an old man and looking at this very young version of the man was strange indeed. He'd also read Skeeter's book and while he was firmly of the belief that Rita Skeeter wouldn't know how to properly interpret a fact even if it was gnawing off her own leg, he did believe that she was very good at ferreting out those facts in the first place. The trick was trying to determine what those facts actually were after they were covered in her usual thick coating of drama and hysteria.
He looked at the pile of books on the table with some amusement. "Unless you have taken books from the Restricted Section, then you probably don't have anything I'm looking for."
He walked over to the table and picked up the top book from the pile in order to get some understanding of what Alb... Dumbledore - he didn't really know what to call the man, even in his own head - was doing. When he saw what the book was, he rolled his eyes.
"This was out of date even in my time," he said dryly. "I think it was only kept in the library because Irma wouldn't relegate a book to storage unless it was a duplicate. Or you were threatening to set her library on fire." He paused and said with wry amusement. "And perhaps not even then."
