RP: Albus & Severus Who: Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape When: March 7th, mid-morning Where: Library What: A meeting of minds
The library, at least, hadn't changed much since Albus' day. The stacks of bookcases, the light streaming through the tall windows, right down to the smell of the books, were just the same as he remembered. There was something reassuring about it, in a place where Albus felt unusually at sea.
He was sat at a table right in the middle of the room, tucked away with towering shelves on all sides. One table already sat heaving under a collection of books he thought might be suitable for building a curriculum. A second pile of books, this time on the floor beside him, consisted of volumes he had yet to examine. Every so often another book, carefully selected by a meticulously crafted sorting charm, would soar over to add to the pile.
Albus was pleased to have a job. It was easier keep busy than to worry himself too much with his predicament, even with the number of times his own name seemed to crop up amongst the pages. With a sigh, he rubbed the broken bridge of his nose and snapped his current book closed.
Which was probably a little rich coming from him, but nevertheless...
With a wave of his hand, Albus sent the dusty book flying back to its home on the other side of the library. It was only then that he realised that there was someone else in the cavernous room, their footsteps just audible over the rustle of paper pages.
