Savannah Monroe ([info]savannah_monroe) wrote in [info]hogwarts_dawn,
"No, you wouldn't know. Harry Potter survived the killing curse at age eighteen months, vanishing one of the most powerful dark wizard. When this wizard, Voldemort, returned years later, he was the one to kill him again surviving the killing curse. They made him Auror at seventeen without his NEWTs, became the youngest Head Auror at twenty-six and apparently he became Minister in the last months of our world," Savannah explained. "He's a national hero. We even had a bank holiday on his birthday."

She smiled at Cassandra. "Something like that, yes."

She chuckled. "I'm sure there are. Trelawney was... very much in love with the doom and gloom for some reason. If you wanted to pass the class, you only had to 'predict' something that killed lots of people and you'd get a great grade. Honestly, I think that class was a waste of time. You can learn the basics, but you can't learn to see the future and if you can, then no one taught it to us." She nodded. "That will do it. But you can count of me if you need anything. I know it'll be even harder for you coming from so far back."
