Bill jumped a bit at the voice. He expected someone in here, but he didn't expect to be approached so quickly. It had to be the hair -- most knew at least his last name with the color of his bloody hair. When he turned, it took his mind a moment before recognizing exactly who stood there.
"Katie, hi." He let Victoire grab onto her, at least for now. "We're both doing fine. Hunting down the perfect gift for my sister, that's all. It was last minute, so I wasn't able to get a proper sitter, but I don't mind. When she's not throwing a tantrum, she's nice to take around. I guess that's all kids, though."
He shifted her a bit on his hip. "How are you doing? Sorry, I haven't kept up that much in the news lately unless the family is involved."
