Frowning slightly, Aaron closed his eyes and yawned. "Except whatever ones your mom puts on you," he pointed out lazily. Aaron knew that it was in his best interest not to take Grace up on whatever it was she was wanting to do this late at night. His moral compass wasn't in the best shape and whether he knew better or not, there was only so much effort he was willing to put forth to behave, especially when his mother wasn't around to remind him to do so. It was better if they both just went to bed.
"You'll never get it," he replied, letting out a soft sigh and trying to ignore the overhead lights in the room while he attempted to make himself fall asleep way too early for his body clock's taste. But her triumphant "Ha!" caught his attention and he pushed himself upright, leaning back on his elbows. He looked appropriately impressed as she climbed onto his bed, looking smug.
"Holy shit," was all he could manage for a moment. Then, "we...probably shouldn't, though, Grace." The words sounded more certain than his tone as he said it, though, because Aaron liked to drink. He liked it a lot, actually.
