Being prompt was never a virtue he even attempted, which infuriated both of his parents to no end. It wasn’t that me meant it, more that he didn’t care to conform to a time schedule. Which was a very bad thing while at Hogwarts, he was usually late to every class. So when he’d set up the meeting with Maddie was sure not to imply that he’d be on time. Not that it was something he had to worry about with her, she was late almost as often as he was. Though her tardiness had more to do with getting distracted than rebellion like him. However, he really did do his best to get there on time. First he had to sit through a luncheon with his parents and a few ministry officials, why they insisted he be a part of these dull afternoons he had no idea.
Once he was free he changed from his dress robes, because there was no way he’d arrive in Diagon Alley in his dress robes. As wealthy as his family is not to mention the money that he gained upon his real parent’s death, well one would think he’d take more time and care with his appearance, not to mention wearing a better quality of clothing. Imperial enjoyed ruffling his mum’s feathers, especially by stepping out of the house in muggle clothing. She was something of a purist herself, only when it came to clothing that is.
Arriving ten minutes after four he meandered slowly through the throngs of people crowding the alley. With his hands shoved into the pockets of a very baggy pair of black slacks, Imperial pretty much ignored everyone there. It didn’t take long to arrive at the predetermined destination. Startling blue eyes scanned the tables and the doorway for Miss Maddie.
