Who: Kevin, Sheila, and a Ministry Official What: Learning how to enter the Magical world When: August 1, 2017 Where: The Leaky Cauldron
Kevin was bouncing on his toes rather excitedly. His acceptance to Smeltings on a futball scholarship forgotten to him, but still a thorn in his mother's mind. She had wanted him to have a good education not some fun filled trip to the circus, for this is what she thought he was in for. Magic was something used for entertainment purposes, not a life style and career choice.

Of course, Kevin had spent the early part of the summer at futball practice getting ready for the upcoming school term. His speed on the field made him a great offensive player. He could take the ball down field toward the goal in no time flat. However, he wasn't always the best when it came to actually aiming to get the goal. He'd already had a few run-ins with some of the other players and he had no clue how the shoe laces of the guy that had pushed him on the field that one day had wound themselves together causing him to trip. There had been talk on the field that he wasn't quite right seeing as everyone that crossed him had something happen to him. The day the goalie yelled at him for a sorry kick, his nose had ended up broken when the ball seemed to fly at him from out of nowhere.
So, by the time a letter had arrived offering Kevin another school option he was ready to be done with Smeltings. It had been one thing for oddities to happen in town league where he went home at night to be with his family. It had become quite another to return to the dormitory after each day's practice to the ridicule and taunts that he was some sort of freak.

The letter had instructed them to meet with a Miss Eladsit in front of a dingy storefront on Charing Cross Road at 3:00 pm.
"Kevin," Sheila fussed looking at her watch. It was 2:58 and this Miss Eladsit had yet to appear. "Stop that right this minute." She was getting annoyed. Everyone knew that proper manners meant you arrived at an appointment at least ten minutes early. "Where is this woman anyway?"
"She'll be here. I know she will," Kevin replied still bouncing on the inside as he forced himself to be still.
"Well, if she's not here exactly at three we are leaving," his mother huffed. She was so busy looking down the street she did not notice that the door of the dingy store had opened.
"The Dennahae's I presume," said a lady in her mid-twenties. She was wearing robes and a witches hat. "If you'll follow me please." She held the door open and waited for them to enter. Kevin went immediately while his mother lagged behind.
As they walked toward the back door of the establishment, the witch explained their location and where they would be going. She showed Kevin the pattern that would allow him to enter on his own in the future and explained that this was the only way in which his mother could enter the alley.
Kevin was in awe as the bricks rearranged themselves into an entrance. The other witch had to take his mother by the hand and practically drag her into the alley as Sheila had frozen from shock. Kevin ran ahead a little bit and tried his best to take it all in as the witch led them to Gringott's and helped them open an account for young Kevin so they could then exchange Euro's for galleons, sickles, and knuts.
Miss Eladsit then handed Kevin a map of Diagon Alley and a listing of where he should go to pick up all the items on the first year's shopping list. Once outside the building again, the young witch bid them farewell and with a nod and a twist she vanished into thin air.
