Who: Eddie and Katie (mention of Angelina and Victorie)
What: Arriving at the Hogwart's Express
When: about 10:30 am
Where: Platform 9 3/4
Eddie had tried his best to convince his mum to let him carry himself to the Hogwarts Express. Afterall, he had been of age for almost two years now. However, Katie had refused to listen to his logic. She'd kept spouting off about how she'd be 120 and hed bee 101 and she would still see him as nothing but her baby.
"Did you remember to pack enough underwear?" his mother asked loud enough that the people around them looked at them.
"Mum," Eddie protested, "I'm sure I packed whatever I need for the first term. If I need more I'll get it on the frist trip to Hogsmeade or I'll request it from home." Not that he would ever ask for more underwear. That would be the last thing he would want to open up at the breakfast table.
Moments later the two of them had made their way through the barrier. Katie's mood had gone from doting to defensive. Eddie didn't know why she always tensed whenever they came to the Hogwart's Express.
"Mum isn't that one of your old Quidditch mates?" he pointed toward Victorie's mother. "Let's go over and say hello." He took his mother by the hand and tried to steer her in that direction. He hadn't talked to Victorie in so long that he wished to see how her summer had been.
Katie made to fight the pull toward her old mates but didn't have to fight long as Eddie stopped dead in his tracks. Teddy Lupin had just walked over to Victorie and taken her into his arms.
"Guess I might as well get on the train," disappointment heavy in his voice.
"Yes, let's get your trunk loaded on and you can find a seat post haste," Katie seemed to have cippered up a bit.
