Character Building/Boredom Reliever
Who: Molly, June, June's father, Molly's uncle Charlie
What: Diagon Alley encounter
When: Saturday
Where: Diagon Alley
Why: Because
Status: Incomplete
Molly usually liked her solitude, but when Uncle Charlie surprised the entire Weasely clan with a visit, she couldn't contain herself to her room. Uncle Charlie was probably the only family member that seemed to understand Molly. He was all about his solitude and work as opposed to family and connections.
His visit was going to be through the World cup, so she was beyond excited (in her own way) to have him for a nice long visit, and when he offered to go to Diagon Alley with her so that she could exchange her Potions book for a newer version, she couldn't refuse.
They had arrived there hours ago, but Charlie liked to take his time when looking at shops in Diagon Alley. It had been such a long time since he had shopped there himself, that the little extra time was nice for him to day dream with. Remember better times, simpler times. They wandered through each shop carefully. He would pick things up, examine them closely, remark on them shortly and then move on. He would offer up stories of how "This rug has been here forever. It's indestructible. I set it on fire by accident when I was 9." And "you can't tell now, but 20 years ago she was the most beautiful witch at Hogwarts." And Molly listened very interested.
Molly didn't mind his weird quarks. Charlie was one of the only family members who she didn't mind enduring for long periods of time. He wasn't loud and obnoxious like a lot of her uncles seemed to be. He wasn't overly patient like her parents and he didn't judge her no matter what she said or how she said it. He was more of a friend, despite their decades difference in age and she linked her arm with his as they walked through the shops slowly.
