Scorpius was early. He'd planned it that way. After all, Lily had said that she didn't want to be kept waiting, so he'd arrived early, half an hour early, and was now sitting at the bar in the Leaky, enjoying a nice glass of firewhiskey and checking his watch every ten seconds to see if it was time for Lily to show up yet. Merlin he was pathetic. The girl didn't even like him all that much, yet he was anxious for her to show up. This could definitely be a turning point in their relationship. Wait, who was he kidding. They didn't have a relationship. They'd spent every second hating each other, or pretending to, since they met. Hating the Potter family had been part of his father's teaching when he was growing up, but it wasn't until he actually met them that Scorpius realized that his father was just being a prejudice idiot.
He checked his watch for about the millionth time and sighed. He still had a few minutes to kill before Lily was supposed to arrive.
