Nick's grin only widened when Rose started blushing again. It was so easy, he hardly had to try to get her cheeks to turn his favorite shade of pinkish red, and when it did happen she looked downright adorable. He would have told her so, but he had a feeling that would just make it worse... and of course as soon as he thought that, the words were falling out of his mouth: "You're adorable, Rose Weasley. Maybe some of that will rub off on me."
He finished packing away the groceries and disposed of the bags, still marveling at how every inch of the flat seemed to scream Rose: the books adorning every inch of available space, the fireplace adding a cozy light and warmth, even the colour scheme. It was full of understated charm, much like Rose herself.
"Mind if I cook something for us?" Nick asked, joining her momentarily. "I'm kind of hungry and it will help assuage my guilt for the shameless freeloading I'll probably be doing in the next few weeks."
