Nick fought the urge to smile when Rose jumped anyway, honestly the girl was wound so tight sometimes that he had to pause from his constant concern over his family members and adopted family members in order to worry about her as well. She seemed to be doing fine for herself at the moment, though. She'd dragged herself out of her apartment without his help, for once. That in and of itself was a big step.
"Hi," he greeted warmly, always happy to see her especially since... yes, there she went, even under the dim lights he could see the redness in her face and knew she was blushing in the way he'd been teasing her for since they met. He couldn't help it. Her name was Rose and she had a tendency to live up to the name as far as her blushes were concerned. It was adorable. "I'm glad you decided to come out. I haven't seen you in awhile. I was starting to worry you'd gotten enamored with a new text and had forgotten to eat again."
