In all honesty, Brady couldn't even imagine being anywhere but with Mil. He was already so invested in this relationship that he couldn't back down, and there was no way he would want to, anyways. Seeing Milian like this was hard, but talking about this and getting things into the open was the most important thing right now. They couldn't ignore Milian's sickness, just like they couldn't waste their limited time together. It was hard for Brady to think about, his chest hurting when he did, but the moment that Milian embraced him, Brady just stopped over complicating things and hugged Milian back.
"I know," Brady said softly, closing his eyes as he held onto Milian, his fingers soothingly caressing Milian's back. "Don't be sorry for anything," he whispered almost vehemently, never wanting Milian to feel like he had to say sorry for something that wasn't his fault.
Everything was happening so fast, but it didn't matter. Milian was there with him, opening up to him, and that was all that mattered. "I love you, too," he replied, feeling shivers move up and down his spine at the intensity of it all. "I'll never leave you," he whispered against Milian's skin, needing the other to realize that he was not going to abandon this relationship, not when it meant so much to them both.
