Who: Teddy Lupin & Open What: Shopping for gifts. When: Tuesday evening Where: Madame Malkin's Status: Incomplete/Open Rating: PG, probably
Teddy had spent a long day doing paperwork for what had taken up his Sunday. Instead of spending the evening catching up with Toire about her latest play, Teddy had spent it on a seven hour stake out. They had captured their man, but still, it wasn't his ideal Sunday evening. The end result was both copious paperwork and a girlfriend who would require both congratulations and something to make up for the lost date. Not that she would ever say so in so many words, but he had known Toire for a while now. She could hold a grudge, you had to do a little groveling to erase it.
Ted felt distinctly uncomfortable in the clothing store. Not that he didn't do clothes shopping for himself, that was fine, but shopping for Toire? Always hard. He wanted it to be thoughtful, perfect and finding something like that was no walk in the park. He stared a little mournfully at a rack of dresses. Maybe he should just go with the earrings like he'd originally thought. But.. she had mentioned wanting another dress. Merlin the things he did for love. He started flicking through the rack, ignoring the strange looks from the sales associates.
